The St Pat’s Difference

At St Patrick’s Primary, we take pride in the unique qualities that set our school apart and make us truly one-of-a-kind. From our dedicated teachers to our innovative curriculum, we’re more than just a school – we’re a community working together to support students and make life easier for parents.

Explore the features that make us stand out:

Supportive Staff Working with Parents to Support Student Development

At St Pat’s, we have a collective of supportive staff who believe in creating positive connections with students and families. Before learning, students need to feel safe and valued. Students are taught about emotions and use the Zones of Regulation to check in and use strategies to help regulate.

We believe in partnering with parents to support the students development. Teachers communicate with parents about pastoral updates and share evidence of learning through the SeeSaw app.

Teachers reach out to parents if they have any concerns and we encourage parents to get in contact with teachers to arrange a meeting if they have concerns or wish to discuss their child’s progress.

Little School, Big Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to join various extra-curricular clubs, including but not limited to: Digital Club, which focuses on expanding digital know-how and skills; Art Club, which runs fortnightly and ran by Year 6 leaders; and Mini Vinnies, a student group that engages with issues of social justice in the community.

In Year 6, students have the opportunity to apply for a leadership position in the following areas: Service, Sports, Environment, Arts and Technology.

Our enthusiastic staff run a 7:15am early morning sports training once a week on Fremantle Oval for PP-Year 6.

Before and After School Care

TheirCare Australia run a before and after school program on-site in our assembly/undercover area for K-Year 6 students. It starts at 6:30am and runs till the start of school. Then in the afternoons, the service runs from 3pm-6pm. The TheirCare staff collect the students from the classrooms and also walk the younger students to class in the mornings.

In 2026, the service will be available to Pre-K students.

Drive Through Pick Up

Unique to St Pat’s, we offer a drive through pick-up for the whole school including Pre-K students. No parking or having to leave the car! We believe that this is one way we can make life easier for parents and carers, especially those with younger siblings.

The safe and smooth process has two pick up zones- Seniors Year 4-6 and Juniors PreK-3. At 2:55pm the bell rings to end the day. Students make their way to the pick up areas. At 3pm, when all the students are safely waiting in their areas, the gates on Parry St open for carers to drive through and pick up the students. The cars then exit onto Point St.

3 Year Old Pre Kindy

Our Pre Kindy program for 3 year olds runs on Thursdays. It is also available to St Pat’s Kindy students who would like to attend a 4th day.

St Pat’s Kindy and future Kindy students $45 a day charged $450 a term.

All other students $75 a day charged $750 a term.
